As a qualified Montessori teacher and yoga instructor, I am thrilled to have found my true vocation in teaching Yoga to Children. Merging my background in education and yoga inspired me to create Starchild Yoga. Through my work, I delight in exploring my belief that all children are stars and offer them the tools with which they can reach their potential.

Having built a firm foundation of yoga practice in Hatha and Iyengar Yoga, I discovered Kundalini Yoga whilst working in a Kindergarten in Germany in 1996. Frank, the owner of the school, observed my love of yoga and invited me to join him on a course to Teach Yoga to Children. We completed the course together and immediately introduced it into the school curriculum for 5-7 year olds.

Almost 10 years later in 2004, I became certified as a Yoga Instructor for Children through Sun Yoga in London. This time I embraced the teachings completely, merged them with my knowledge gained as a teacher, and founded Starchild Yoga.

In 2005, I decided to follow my heart into the world of Yoga for the Special Child TM and completed a Basic Certification Program with Sonia Sumar from Brazil. In 2006, inspired by Sonia’s approach and magical connection with each child, I completed the Advanced Level 1 Program. This Program incorporates using basic Yoga Therapy techniques to enhance the natural development of infants and children with special needs.

This lead me to a longer term study of Kundalini Yoga with SKY, School of Kundalini Yoga in Berkshire and I completed my Level 1 Instructors Course in 2006. This deepened and strengthened my work with children and greatly expanded my knowledge of yoga and life in general. Currently, I am working my way through Level 2 of the Teacher Training Program with SKY and Karam Kriya.

Over the last few years, I have been working closely with a good friend and colleague Dr Jacqueline Barr in developing and delivering Starchild Yoga Training to adults. This course is in transition now as we move with the times and upgrade a 20-hr course to a 50-hour course to certify and empower adults to teach children.

On a daily basis, I teach yoga to children of all ages, teenagers and adults. I teach in many different places and circumstances, do private and group work, run workshops and I love every part of it.

It is my dream to share my knowledge of Yoga for Children with as many adults as possible, spreading the seed of Truth and Joy through the hearts of cities and countries so that there will be people offering this beautiful tool to children throughout the planet. In doing so, we will be offering children throughout the world a chance to breath, to be, to laugh, to love and to be loved.

Let us hold hands, stop and connect for a moment and feel the consciousness of this beautiful planet shift with this belief.

Let the heart lead and the mind will follow.
